Hey everyone..
Here is my setup.. 828mk3 with 8pre.
8pre is connected to the mk3 with 4 adat cables.
My nuendo project is running at 96k.
And channels 1 to 8 on the 8pre are kick, snare, hats, Tom 1, Tom 2, Tom 3, over l and over r.
When I work on 44.1 and 48khz everything works beautifully.. an unusual thing starts happening at 96khz.
In nuendo when moniotor Channel 1 2 and 3 i hear only hi hats.. i should be hearing kick snare and hats..
The weird thing is the levels entering on each input correspond to kick snare and hats And when i record it records correctly.. but when monitoring i hear hi hats on channel 1 2 3.. tom 1 on 4 5 and 6 and channel 7 and 8 and in audible...
Its twisted.. has anyone faced this ever ???..
Once again at 44 and 48 it works perfectly...
Need to sort this asap in order to go on with this project as my client wants to record at 96k.
motu 828mk3 and 8pre unusual problem..

Is the 8Pre set for 2x optical mode? If not, look in the manual under front panel settings.

Re: motu 828mk3 and 8pre unusual problem..
Yeah done that. Everything works except monitoring. Even if I record a section.. it record fine. Its almost like nuendo is confused..
Actually I tested it further after my initial post and the order is like this..
Kick channel monitors hi hats
Snare monitors Tom 1
Hi hats monitors Tom 2
Tom 1 monitors Tom 3
Tom 2 monitors ov l
Tom 3 monitors ov 2
Ov 1 and 2 are in un-audable.
Even monitoring levels reflect kick snare etcccc in the correct order..
Its like im seeing kick levels on the monitor meter but hearing hi hats..
Anyone ?? Anything ???
