DontCrack Introduces DSP-Quattro
Yes the company that made DSP-Quattro is a small company but Stefano is one of the friendliest, knowledgable and responsive developers I've ever encountered.
I'm sure he will get you straightened out ASAP.
I upgraded to the latest version 3 a couple of months ago and had a problem on a Saturday night(Sunday morning Italy time)
I didn't expect an answer until Monday,Stefano responded and had me sorted out in minutes!
He is really among the best developers out there IMO.

It took two for him to enter the info on the back end so that the license worked. And you're right, he was responsive and my copy now works.
Apparently, this has to be done for any cross grade.

For one thing, it's easily the cheapest option for generating and also burning reference CDs from DDP filesets.

Re: DontCrack Introduces DSP-Quattro
I sent an email to Stefano and asked about DSP-Quattro and compatibility with Waves version 9 - which are Cocoa plugs. This is a major concern for me as Peak will not be useful on my next computer, which will of course be based on 64 bit DP8 and Waves Version 9. Stefano wrote back that he'd been having a few problem with the new version Waves but that he had been told by Waves that Version 9.1 would solve those problem and asked if I could test that.
Fortunately I have version 9 on my computer at home along with Studio One V2 so I downloaded the 9.1 plugs (v9r5) and installed those for testing with DSP-Quattro 4.1
I'm very happy to say that all Mercury and SSL 9.1 plugs are fully functional in DSP-Quattro 4.1 with the exception of Dorrough meters. Dorrough meters are only useful in the vertical orientation in either small or large but not XL screen size. All horizontal meters present graphic problems due to the screen re-size. Stefano is working with Waves on this - in his words: "About the Dorrough meters, yes, it is my great interest to guarantee the full compatibility, of course. I'll work on this together with developers by WAVES. Thanks a lot for your help on this."
On a personal note I'd like to say that from the email exchanges over the last week it is obvious Stefano is a true gentleman and a straight shooter and it's been both a pleasure and an honour to help, even in such a small way.

Lots of stuff and a recently acquired ability to stop buying

I just noticed I posted the same story a few posts back,

Stefano is 1 of the nicest developers I've ever had the pleasure dealing with.
He is always helpful, knowledgable and incredibly responsive!
I once emailed him a question on a Saturday evening in NY,I expected to hopefully get a response on Monday...
He replied in minutes on a Sunday morning Italy time,I was stunned!!
You just reminded me I should upgrade, I'm still using Version 3.

Re: DontCrack Introduces DSP-Quattro
I bought the cross grade as soon as Peak announced they were closing. BTW, Bias promised to keep their authorization server up, but last time I checked it was down. Boy, do I feel burned by them. My company invested thousands of dollars in licenses and upgrades in that software. I had the reasonable expectation that at least my current licenses could be transferred to other or newer machines as needed - up in smoke.
Hackintosh, UAD Apollo Quad (TB card), Dangerous Source, Chandler EMI TG2 Pre, Neve Portico 5012 pre, Adam A-7's, Adam Sub8, Neve 33609/C bus comp, AMS Neve 8803 EQ, Audient Mico Pre, too many pedal steel guitars.

Behind the scenes reports have Steve Berkeley negotiating with someone to keep the authorization server online.
I personally find it hard to believe that we won't see Peak being distributed by another company eventually.
But in the meantime it makes total sense to be looking at DSP Quattro.
