828mk3 FW - no sound coming out, just noise

I recently got a used 828mk3 firewire (not hybrid). It worked fine for a couple of days. Today it started making only very distorted sound and after restart it only makes squealing noise into the phones and scratchy noise on some of the outputs.

This is not related to the computer, it happens in standalone mode too. Computer actually recognizes it properly. CueMix FX opens properly. It all looks ok just no sound.

I did factory reset few times. Also reinstalled firmware 1.06 (it was already on that version). No luck.

It seems that my 828 is toasted. Any ideas? I see people had issues with overheating and earlier firmware versions had squealing sound. My 828 was worm when this happened. It is cold now but still not working.

Can 828 actually be repaired or I can just dump it.
