I'm having a terrible time install the PCI-424/2408mk3 software. Nothing about the "Universal Audio Install" CD matches the manual. The manual says I can just load the CD and do what the install program says. It says nothing. So I execute "SetupAudio.exe" which I found on CD. It asks me to check the items I want to install:
*FIrewire/USB2 Audio
*PCI-424 Audio
*Microbook
But the manual lists:
*MOTU PCI Audio Console
*MOTU PCI WDM Audio Driver
*ASIO MOTU PCI Driver
*CueMix Console
*Setup Wizard
I installed the 3 items the CD listed and decided I would look for the magic "Setup Wizard" which sounds like a very good thing. Could not find it. The manual says just to run the software installer on the “2408mk3 CD” and then look for the wizard on my hard drive. I don't have a "2408mk3 CD" I just have a "Universal Audio Installer" CD.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this picture? I have a PCI-424 card and a 2408mk3 but something seems wrong on the software side.
Also, on the front of the CD there is a key code for software installation but when I ran "SetupAudio.exe" it never asked me for a key code.

Re: PCI-424 2408mk3 software install
Okay... I did a little guessing and just loaded PCI-424 software options since that's what I have and then installed the PCI-424 card. The system seems to recognize the 2408mk3. I guess I jumped the gun a bit but it is frustrating not have the install documentation so out of sync with the product. I hope the rest of the setup with my DM3200 goes okay. I still can't find a Setup Wizard... maybe they don't need it anymore but it sounded like a good thing.

You have PCI AUDIO console installed. It gives you ability to set the most significant parameter as freaquensy is. The DAW can give you more. You have to try.
I have also a question to you. You have also installed CueMix installed. Did you try it? Does it work as you may expected from some system mixer console, which gives you possibility to work without DAW AT Windows level (for example for live performance just for audition of coming inputs)

Re: PCI-424 2408mk3 software install
I've had some sucess with CueMix. I'm able to set up a mix that comes back to my DM3200 and I monitor it on the stereo monitor bus. My biggest complaint is that the MOTU manual doesn't seem to match the software I received. I got around the install discrepancies, but the CueMix documentation isn't for anything that looks like my CueMix. I've got File, Edit, Devices, Configuration, Talkback, Phones and ControlSurfaces menus. None are documented (or even shown) in the manual. Some menu items are obvious but many are not so, for example, I have no idea what the ControlSurfaces menu is all about or why my Phones menu has no items on it. It's a bit frustrating and so far I've found nothing on the MOTU Web site to help me out.

Are you capable to change channel for mix output and how? I even could not change it. It blocked output to ADAT.
