replacing samples in Machfive 3.1.1

Hello List:

I just purchased a copy of Machfive 3.

I was able to load the instruments no problem.

I found that when I first was using the application I was able to edit, let's say for example, a drum kit form the Universal Loops and Instruments and replace individual samples by clicking on the given sample in the edit window. When I clicked on each sample a list of individual samples would appear in the browser with a parent folder on top. I was able to choose/replace the sample with one from the list that appeared in the browser. If you look at the following thing on youtube you will be able to see what I am talking about. It occurs about 50 seconds into the clip. This can be seen here

I am now unable to access these individual samples. When I click on the individual keygroup in the editor I am bounced to a list of folder containing M5p files which contain no sample data. I CAN load an entire kit or whatever else in a new part and select and copy desired samples into the original kit that I am editing. I feel like I am missing something obvious or maybe I was just hallucinating.

I did speak to someone at motu and they suggested loading a kit in and adjacent part and copying and pasting individual "keygroups" from there. This seems awfully clunky to me. With and app like reason the nn-xt loads a program and you can click on each sample and replace it any way you want.

I am using machfive both as stand-alone and in dp 7.24. 2011 imac running 10.6.8 and on a macbook pro 2010 also using 10.6.8.

Any ideas? I am getting ready to go away for three weeks on a job and I would like to use Machfive to make some of my own kits from content within the machfive files if at all possible. I know had to drag and drop from the desktop, etc. and how to find samples on my hard drive using the browser. This is specifically about using the samples that come with machfive.

all the best and Happy July 4th

I'm not sure what your issue is.

But please, do not make multiple posts with the same subject all over the place. So far you have this same post in 3 different forums.

Thank you.
