EZMix 2- your opinions
Hi all, I searched this as a topic and came up with nothing. If I am wrong I apologize for opening another similar thread and hope that you will redirect me. If not, a plea to all the seasoned recordists out there, please don't slay me (Im sure you think this product is garbage because you can do better without it- and Im sure youre right). But, I am a guitarist songwriter, and on the side I am a surgeon in Pittsburgh with 3 young children. I tell you this for only one reason. Despite my recent attempts, I have finally come to the realization that I will never ever be a master producer, engineer... I just don't have the time to even touch the tip of the iceberg. Having said this, I would still like to get my recordings to sound as good as I can. Toontracks superior drummer has turned a lot of heads (even in my amteurish recordings), and Im hoping that Toontrack has given me and others like me who will never be great at capturing "The Sound", a chance to reach acceptability. Im thinking it can only make my efforts sound better but was hoping for your thoughts. To let you know, I write primarily country music these days and intend to pitch my songs (in other words I don't need my songs to sound world class, just real good). Im not trying to change the world of music from a recording standpoint, rather present my songs in a strong light. Thank you for any help help you can provide me.
