What's up with MachFive's 3.1.1 update?
Hello.
I recently updated to 3.1.
Yesterday I saw that MachFive's latest update is 3.1.1, so I downloaded it and installed it. But it installs as 3.1.0.
That happened in 2 of my computers... How can that be?

Read the 3.1.1 PDF. It's got a few enhancements and probably ooops fixes. The export IRCAM stretch pitch is greatly useful.

Hey, Kurtl.
Yes. I read the PDF. And I want it! That's why I'm complaining
I guess I didn't explain myself properly. What I mean is that, despite downloading the 3.1.1 upgrade, MachFive still reads as if it were 3.1.0.
It's like the update doesn't work. I tried applying it twice (after repairing permissions, etc.), but it still reads as 3.1.0 in the Application folder in the Finder and in the plug-in itself.
This happened in two different computers... any ideas as to why this is? Did yours work properly?

I've had a wobbly few minutes with this.... but finally managed to open it in DP... it displayed as 3.1.1 but I couldn't load any sounds. Will try again after another restart and repair permissions....
Get info still reads 3.1.0....
But I just opened the standalone version, it displayed as 3.1.1 x64, and the patches loaded! So far so good....
will keep trying...

Re: What's up with MachFive's 3.1.1 update?
Hmmmm... this is very weird.
Yesterday, in my studio, I installed it in the MacBook Pro 2 times and it kept displaying 3.1.0.
Just now, at home, in the same computer, it suddenly displays 3.1.1 out of the blue (in the instrument/plug-in), and I didn't do anything except opening it first in stand-alone mode and then in DP
I guess it needed a day's break? Or perhaps it "felt at home"?
So I guess it's working now. I'll connect it to my samples HD later and report back.

But it STILL displays 3.1.0 in the Finder (Applications) AND in the Get Info window...

Re: What's up with MachFive's 3.1.1 update?
I reported it to UVI. Apparently it's nothing more than a typo in the plist file. I guess they'll fix it next version or update the installer perhaps. Totally benign though.

Ha!
I did read that other thread you mentioned. Last I heard it wasn't going too well
Let's all whine some more together like grown-up children. This thread has the potential for it...
Hey, lights went off a few minutes ago. Not much to do here, so I propose we should start a thread quoting some of the things we've been called before.
Ok. Let me start:
DP Knights
Cantankerous
Protecters of the DP Faith (I particularly LOVE this one)
Harsh
Childish (this one not me but you
)
... you've got any more?
