DP 4.6 and Powerbook problems

Post by pplowman »

DP 4.1 and 4.52 work flawlessly on my powerbook. 4.6 however, can't get past the open dialog without crashing every time. Any Ideas?
Thanks for any help you can give.
Paul

Have you tried up upgrade or clean install of OS X 10.3.9?

Your post says you are using 10.3.3.

I'm trying to avoid moving up. Its my understanding that the newer systems make the fan run more on the powerbooks. Since I use it as my recording machine, I want to keep it as quiet as I can. But I'm considering that option.
Thanks

With the same config, I had to upgrade to 10.3.8. Like you, I was reluctant to do it, but everything runs fine and DP4.6 couldn't work with 10.3.3 anyway !

I'm up to 10.3.9 on my Powerbook 1.33ghz, and no fan problems. DP 4.6 runs fine.
