Ultralite mk3 FW "no hybrid" NO SOUND win 7

Post by SlyHawk »

Hi everybody! i'm new here! so glad to see such great forum! :)
I explain my problem:
when i got this card i was using win 7 32 bit, could't get to work with it, so i moved back to win XP.
Now i'm in need to use win 7 64 bit, but i can't get to work this card, i mean, followed the instructions, it does install properly, but no sound goes out.
i'm going crazy, i don't know if there are any settings to change.
It always worked perfectly on XP.. :banghead:
could you please help me?
thank you!

I am having the same problem. Works fine on XP via USB, but on win7 (64bit) i can't get any sound. I went through all the steps in other similar posts. I am now thinking of buying a pci firewire card as it's the only thing left to try. Problem is: Not sure which one to buy or if it is even worth shelling out for a new card only to find have the same problem via firewire connection.

Has anyone had the same problem and corrected it by using firewire over usb and perhaps recommend a firewire card that worked for them under windows 7 (64bit). Will firewire 800 work or does it have to be 400? I was considering a StarTech 3 Port Mini PCIe FireWire Card, which gives me 2 x 800 ports and 1 x 400 in case the Ultralite Mk3 Hybrid doesn't support 800.

Any advise greatly appreciated.
thanks
