dls soft synth hung ?

dls soft synth hung ?

does anyone know what dls soft synth is? it is often hung in activity monitor

A 2018 Mac mini with 16 gb of ram

i mean that when i open activity monitor the dlsoft synth is often hung...is it related to DP? (i m french please excuse my understanding!)

How do you know it's hung?
Is DP also frozen?

activity monitor tells me it's hung!DP seems to works!

So I'm assuming dls softsynth you're probably referring to Apples
built in Soft synth.
You have to activate it in DP to get it to work.
If we are talking about the same thing,
go to Add track/instrument track/Apple Soundbank synth.
Quicktime might be greyed out in the soundbank choices but it's
still active.
GO to a MIDI track/output and you should see DSL music device as an option.
Go to the bottom drop down menu and you'll have 128 generic patch
names to choose from.
Those are your instruments.
It's also a soundfont synth..and there's your final hint.
Much (if not all of this) is in the manual.
You do have a manual right?
