Certain keys not trigerring MIDI

Post by jpico »

I have a mtpav going thru a mac pro osx10.6.8, 8 core. All of the sudden the other day while using DP7 several notes on my two controllers stopped sending MIDI signals. I checked all cables, downloaded latest mtp driver, downloaded latest clockworks, reset all audio/MIDI set up, tried rebooting the mtpav holding the panic button, but no mater what I do the problem persist, whether im using DP or anything else. Has anyone run into this before and can you help me fix it?
Thanks. :?

Check to see that you haven't enabled MIDI remote transport controls where they keyboard is mapped to different functions. I'm not in DP right now, but look in the Commands Window to see if the remote transport was enabled.

What James said. Also, are the devices actually generating the data?

It turns out the lithium battery in the mtp was gone, a quick trip to radio shack and its better than ever.
I didn't even know they had batteries.
thanks for the suggestions. :D
