Has anyone had any issues with a Motu 828mk3 Hybrid and USB 2.0 on Windows XP Pro SP3?
I am having issues with windows not recognizing the Motu sometimes when I power the unit up. Also, sometimes I will loose audio or connection with windows. I will be running audio in Ableton, or Cubase and the audio will stop working. I will have to either restart the Motu or do a disable and renable within the control panl/systems/hardware section. This also happens sometimes when I am simply playing music off of a internet radio station.

Which motherboard, how much memory installed and which CPU?
Your issues sound like something that happens when the computer is struggling...your specs will lead us in the right direction with our thinking.
In the meantime and in between time, you should update the motherboard bios to newest and then set Optimized Defaults in the bios and save.
Also, update all drivers to all hardware devices from manufacturers' sites.
If you have an Atheros based wireless card, update the driver from http://www.Atheros.cz
And very important - uninstall whichever antivirus you have in safe mode, using the special tool found online for the specific product. Reboot and install MSE to replace it.

The 828mk3 hybrid user manual specifies only Vista and 7 as compatible Windows versions. Does it mean that the 828 mk3 hybrid would not work properly with XP ?

No, it doesn't mean that. MOTU has XP drivers for it, obviously, or it would not work in any fashion whatsoever at all.

I think it was the PC I was using, older one. I just got a different used PC and it works fine. I still can't pin point why it didn't work on the older machine. It was a Pentium 4 with 4 gigs RAM. Very minimal. The newer used machine is running windows 7 and is a little faster and seems to be working great. I think the old machine may have had some USB problems on the motherboard.
