UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid - Control Surfaces

Hello all,

New owner of a UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid. Great device that I plan mainly to use live. In the documentation, various Mackie control surfaces are mentioned. My question is, does anyone know if other devices can control the UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid?

Example; Could I control the main output volume with MIDI CC #7 from some device other than the Mackie control surfaces mentioned?
