internet downloads

If I am on a G5, Tiger, Dp4.6, machfive and want to download some loops and samples from the internet, which format would be best suited for what I have?

You've asked this question before of someone else on this forum, and I'll ask as well..what do you mean by loops and samples?

Oh and aside from that, you've never mentioned what other sound hardware you have etc.

Also in terms of what format..it tells all in the DP manual.
