Hi
I am using Motu 896 MK3 right now, i need to add 8 more tracks to my system and a MIDI DAW controller hence i think projectmix io is a very good option.
The thing is, i can't seem to have any concrete findings on this chain via google search. Does anyone chain them up via ADAT light pipe?? If yes, I have the following doubts:
If i ADAT out from MOTU to projectmix IO,
1) do you think i under used the Motu top notch ADDA firewire converter?
2) motu cuemix still usable??
Or if i do it another way round, i.e.ADAT out from Projectmix to MOTU,
3) can i still use projectmix as MIDI daw controller?
4) can i still use projectmix as MIDI interface for my MIDI keyboard??
Hopefully somebody can help me.
Thanks

Re: Need Advise to Chain 896 Mk3 to Project Mix IO
I got response from M Audio forum, the tech support confirmed that i can only use the option 1, i.e. to ADAT out from MOTU to projectmix IO, and the cuemix is not usable under this chain.
Now, i love the quality of sound delivered by MOTU but i never try projectmix IO before.
May i know the impact of Firewire ADDA converter between MOTU 896MK3 & Projectmix IO are significant?
Does anyone so happen try comparing the 2 product side by side before??
Appreciate if i got a reply.
Thanks
