I am considering purchasing a MIDI Express 128 and there is two things that i am still wondering after i scanned the manual. I wonder if anyone here has successfully done or knows the answers to either of the following:
1) Can a MIDI bank change message be sent via pedal thru the Express 128 to another piece of gear? I have found in the past that MIDI patch bays did not recognize bank change msgs for one reason or another and i am wondering if the Express 128 does?
2) I see that via the software, i can flexibly route any of the 8 MIDI inputs to 8 of the MIDI outputs. How "funky" can i get with the routings? For example: Could i run In 1, In2 and say In4 into Out3? And then, could i run In1, In3 and In4 into Out4? I guess what i am asking is can i run multiple ins into a single out and can i route an "in" into more than one "out"? According to what i've read, i don't see why not, but i'd like to be sure (if i could) before i take the plunge.....
