help me my brothers......

Post by tim6308 »

I've been using Mach 5 at my studio for over a year. I installed it on my powerbook yesterday and although I can load samples and play them, there is no display for the performance or presets. There is also no numberical display on any of the adjustable parameters (ex. amp and pan sliders.. etc) I'm running tiger and I downloaded the beta update for Mach5. When I tried to install it, it never brought up an installation screen. Please give me some insight!

Were you able to run M5 under Panther on your PB?
I'm not sure what the status is of M5 with Tiger. Maybe 10.3.9 or whatever, is the answer.

Post your results.

It is not only your powerbook I have G5, G4, and Powerbook with TIGER and the only VI with problems is MACHFIVE!

It is a MOTU-TIGER-PROTOOLS ISSUE!

MOTU please take care of it.

as you know MACHFIVE has become a very important tools even for PROTOOLERS!

I just installed M5 on my powerbook (OS 10.3.9) and the samples won't load. Trying from the sample bank DVD was no go, and then when I tried to download the DVD it gave me a "Bad Disk" message.
What gives?

dunno about the bad disk error, but you can't just load ther sounds from the dvd directly into mach 5. above anything else, there's no way your dvd would be fast enough. you'll need to install the sounds first!
2*5-core 3.46 Intel xeon (32 gigs RAM), 2*dual 2.5 (16 & 32 gigs RAM), DP 8.07, WAVES 9, Lexicon plugs, SoundToys, all Spectrasonics, NI Komplete 9, Vienna Ensemble (extended), LASS, Evolve, Symphobia, etc, Cinesamples, Arturia, cinestrings, all Project Sam

Yeah, figured that already. For some reason I have to drag the sounds from an outside folder instead of the sequence itself.
Oh well.
