Ultralite Mk III/Mic as Recording Device in Windows

Post by neiljhardie »

Hi everyone,

I'd appreciate some help with a question on how to configure my Ultralite Mk III hybrid and a microphone plugged into it as a recording device in Windows (e.g. to use the Windows sound recorder feature). When I open up the Sounds dialog box from the Control Panel, I have 5 options under the 'Recording Tab' - MOTU Analog, Return, Reverb, S/PDIF and Unused. None of these options when selected as the recording device seem to allow me to use the microphone plugged into the XLR jack on the interface to record anything using, for example, the sound recorder. The mic and interface are set up to record OK into Pro Tools and Reason, so there are no apparent problems there.

Would appreciate any thoughts on this one.

Best Regards,
Neil
