During these past several days, I've been taking a self-learning crash course on the use of DP7. Happily, it was not a difficult process (except with getting ReWire Mode to work between Bidule and DP7). As shared in one of my first posts here, I purchased DP7 primarily for its well-known film-scoring tools and capabilities. I can see how many of the members of this bulletin board use this program for their projects. DP7 has more then met my very modest needs in writing/composing and sequencing music so far.
I have NO illusions or "dreamy-eyed" plans of becoming a full-time "pro" in the fields of videography or writing music for films/videos. Especially after viewing this video excerpt, you should all feel a sigh of relief that there will NOT be one more person attempting compete for film scoring gigs. I'm going to remain as a full-time nurse probably until the day I die! (My current house mortgage ends when I turn 75 years old and my credit card debt will probably never end. So I'll need to work at least until I'm 75!

For the past 4 years (or so), I've been video-taping educational in-services for the hospital where I work. It is a small community hospital with very limited resources and funds. Many of the staff nurses donate their time and talent in projects that are beneficial for either the employees of our hospital or the local residents that use our hospital for their healthcare needs. Video-taping & editing is my donation of time and talent that is shared. In return, I continue to learn and grow towards a wonderful hobby that brings me great satisfaction. I've finished around 30 or so of these video projects during these past 4 years.
So. . . this particular excerpt that I'm sharing to you is one of those (now) completed projects for work. It is also my first project where I used DP7 for its simple "background music" needs. I took advantage of DP7's streamers and punches, and (believe it or not), I turned off the metronome click! My goal was simply to use the "streamers and punches" to help guide the overall feel and arrangement of the music. It ain't gonna win any Grammy or Oscar awards. But, DANG! I had fun composing some simple music to this to this project. In the end, that's all I want. I want that feeling of "fun and satisfaction", especially when I'm off from work. To say the least, my full-time job can be (and is) stressful. Heck, I work in an ICU where there are really sick patients there (who want to live!! Go figure! LOL!). Working on these video projects provides a very nice balance in life for me. Life is good.

No need to comment on the actual visual contents of this excerpt. It is what it is. However, any suggestions to help make it sound better, from a sound-enginneering point of view, will be most graciously and gratefully accepted.
Instrumental libraries & engines used: GPO and JABB (using the Garritan Aria Player), Kirk Hunter Studio's Concert Strings 2, Music Lab's RealGuitar and NI's Absynth 5.
Cheers. . .
