Hello,
Simple question but I can't seem to find the answer. How do I get sound files on multiple tracks to align sample accurate besides dragging them all to the top of the timeline? Is there a command for "align to curser (or marker)" ? Thanks for the help.
Align sound files to cursor or marker?

You can always select the file and manually type in the location. I don't use 'remembered times' but you can check the manual and maybe automate the process a little as well. I do wish MOTU would let users 'throw' items to the wiper.

Re: Align sound files to cursor or marker?
As far as I know, you can't get them all aligned with one move, unless they start out that way. You can use Edit > Shift, but multiple selected soundbites will stay relative to one another. There is no way to override that, which would be helpful at times, but Shift is an extremely useful tool.
DP needs improvement in this area.
I agree with MLC, a throw-to-wiper feature would be great!

"Move to marker".. check the "unchecked" yellow marker in the upper right.. SE window, beside the blue grid mode/note value markers.
Select all files or one at the time and drag them to the marker. They will jump and glue to the marker when you get close to it.

Re: Align sound files to cursor or marker?
copy and pasting of TC was the best recent addition to DP
sorry cant remember if all of these are just my custom keystrokes - but this is how I go about it sometimes
. ( fullstop ) on the numeric pad will select the TC displayed in the counter ( ie wiper TC )
copy
select your sound bites
apple L will bring the shift window
select to TC ( it will stay in the mode you select so the next time less faffing )
click to focus on the numeric input..
now paste..
if you just have one bite its a bit easier.
copy TC from wiper - selct bite and paste to the TC in the mini info bar editor..
sometimes I just selct the bite and drag the numeric value in the mini info bar
throw to wiper would be awesome....
actually being able to enter the value on the sound bite directly would save a hell of lot of mousing around.... ( whole mini info bar poop up above the sound bite anyone? can change start TC / level info etc - that's a dream! )
random question - if we want all sound bites to one TC as opposed to preserving their relative postions - is there not a way to do with Quantise?
