I am using an 896HD and 8 pre to record up to 16 channels audio onto a laptop PC and an Alesis HD24 simultaneously. The 896HD is hooked up via Firewire and the 8pre is set up in the converter mode with the ADAT outputs sent to the inputs of the 896HD and the HD24 (tracks 9-16). The ADAT outputs of the 896HD ADAT outputs are sent to the HD24 (tracks 1-8).
Since I am doing live recording I am curious if it is possible to solo a channel on the headphones without affecting the bus that is selected in Cue Mix? I am using all four busses to send analog inputs 1-8 to ADAT 1-8 outputs. I am also using an 8pre hooked up to the ADAT inputs on the 896HD. I would like to solo any of the inputs (Analog 1-8 and ADAT 1-8) without affecting any of the tracks I am recording.
Thanks
