What do you use to burn a quick CD for clients?

I'm contemplating a switch to Lion.

I'm currently using Roxio Jam to make a quick CD at the end of a session for my clients to take home and review.
I just drag the completed mixes to Jam and burn.
I really like the detailed print out of the times and titles.
Clients seem to like this feature too.
Obviously I'm not using this for mastering, just for the fast "take home and listen" CD.

Any recommendations?

I still use Roxio Jam. I have Peak and Toast, but they are not as simple and as quick to use as Jam.

CDs? I don't have clients I record but do send out many files to collaborators and producers. I haven't burned many CDs in a while now. Either a file to a flash (thumb) drive or an MP3 in an email or posted to my online file folder is most common.

If I do have to burn I CD it's most often in Toast. Thumb drives don't always work in auto CD players.

Toast Titanium 11. Like most guys I don't burn many CDs anymore, but agency clients still ask for something to drop on a client's desk or listen to in the car. Most of my burning is DVD archives.

Is there software you use that requires 10.7 to work properly? Otherwise, why?

I use Toast 11 Pro.

I thought that Roxio combined Jam with Toast a few versions ago. To enable those features in Toast (such as gain adjustment for individual tracks), check the box that says "show advanced audio mastering settings" in Toast preferences (under the Audio tab). The default setting is unchecked.

Yeah..Toast essentially has all that Jam does, but I like how Jam is simply for burning audio cd's yet has crossfade and cd text and all that extra redbook stuff.

I started using DP 7.24 - using markers as text and IDs
works, but just discovered that :
Material *before* the 1st marker has to be removed, and only song-start-markers have to be present...
I read about bouncing to CD from within DP is not working, but here it works with
said limitations
Would love to hear what exactly doesn't work...

So far, it sounds like Jam is still the winner.
My fear is that it isn't Lion compatible.
I guess I'll find out.

Re: the concept of needing quick CDs at the end of a session.
I am doing daily sessions with various artists and amazingly, most of them still want to take a CD of the day's work.
They also like the detailed print out that Jam provides.
Maybe this is unique to my studio, but it has been a great solution.

Why not iTunes? You can print the track list for timings.

Waterstrum, since Jam was integrated into Toast about five versions ago, I have a pretty good hunch that your copy of Jam will not run under Lion. It probably requires Rosetta to run under Snow Leopard.

All the functionality of Jam is in the current version of Toast, which does run fine under OSX 10.7.2.

My main issue is that I work in 48k all the time and DP doesn't burn 48k files. By the time I do the conversion to 44k I can do the burn in Toast and get back to work. On large projects converting everything is just not a viable option. Otherwise I'd be doing the workarounds. That, and sometimes the discs DP burns are unusable.

So Toast converts 'on-the-fly' ?

From 48, MP3, and pretty much anything else - even if you mix formats. Very convenient.
