Help with DP 5.13 & mLan16 Motif - almost there!

Setup


Mac Computer - OSX 10.5.8
Digital Performer 5.13
Motu 828 interface..
Mackie 32x8 audio board (not digital)
Motif ES8
mLan16 Expansion for Motif ES8 (USB out to keyboard into MAC Tower)


1. Installed mLan16 expansion successfully!
2. DP recognizes 16 tracks from mLan via MIDI... in other words - not italicized however, only in output section of each track in DP at this point, but at least I know all worked out.


Trying to do...

Get 16 channels of a pattern in audio not MIDI out of the keyboard and into 16 channels of DP so that each track of the pattern sequence I made in Motif goes into DP upon playing the keyboard into 16 separate audio channels of DP so I can edit from there.

Questions
A. Is there a setting in DP to allow this to happen?

From my research, I am pretty sure this can happen

B. Also, how to set it up so the input is MIDI info from the Motif?

EVERYTHING IS WORKING!!!!

I got a hold of MOTU Tech SUpport!

For those who have similiar problem…

IN DP

SETUP
CONFIGURE AUDIO SYSTEM
CONFIGURE HARDWARE DRIVER

Select both mLAN16 & 828 (or other driver)

Make sure sample rate is the same

Then you have to make sure you choose the correct Audio System Clock, in my case it’s ADAT Optical because I have an ADAT in my configuration…

Everything works great,

The Motif can go in as either MIDI or audio and I couldn’t be more happy!!!!

This is a few years in the works, the posts helped a ton! even though they were a while ago, thanks!
