'Zoom Maximize' key command...who knew!?

Post by Nibiru »

Tired of hitting the green dot at the upper left of the window you want to maximize? Want to assign a key command of your choice?

It was driving me insane, so I did a google search and found this gem. If you already knew this, then I feel even dumberer.

http://simianuprising.com/2010/03/15/ma ... een-jewel/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Don't forget to restart your computer!

Edit: Doesn't work with DP! :( Anyone know a work around?

I got all excited when I first saw this feature in OS X some time ago. In theory you would be able to create shortcuts for all the menu items in an application that do not already have them. In practise, I've found very few applications other than Apple's that support this.
2018 Mini i7 32G macOS 12.7.6, DP 11.33, Mixbus 10, Logic 10.7.9, Scarlett 18i8, MB Air M2, macOS 14.7.6, DP 11.33, Logic 11

+1
I've only been successful assigning my shortcuts for Apple-made apps, such as getting the System Preferences, adding Mail or iCal shortcuts, etc.

I will test the OP's discovery when I have time.

Nibiru, did it work for you with DP then?

Nevermind, I just saw it didn't :(
It seems we'll still have to make mice trips to those little colored dots in the windows...

Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,
