Anyone use the Octavmod mic mods?

I'm thinking to get my Rode NT1A modded, and was wondering if anyone has tried out the mods that Michael Joly offers at octavmod.com. The reviews there are good, but it is his web site

Yes... they are EXCELLENT! The 460 Apex mod is phenomenal!

Yes! My 2 modded Oktava 319s are some of my most used mics. It's the sibilance tamer but also is amazing on many sources besides vocals. It works amazingly well on violin and cello. I gave away my rode 1000 and wish I had kept it as I would definitely had Michael mod it. Great company.

His hype may be a bit over the top but he does understand what goes on under the hood.

He doesn't imply some mystic mumbo-jumbo that somehow improves the sound. Instead, he explains what he does and tells you why it makes a difference. I like that.

Is the result the same as a Stephens modified U-47? Oh... Probably not.

Is it a really good microphone for thousands of dollars less? Oh yea...

How do I use two microphones on one computer with only one microphone slot? I have a computer that has one 3.5mm Jack microphone slot. I have my microphone that I plug in and use. When I use my computer with friends we sometimes struggle to use the same microphone because we have to keep passing it around. We have another microphone but can only plug in one at a time. What can I do so I can use both?

You spend money and buy a mixer or interface. I strongly suggest buying a book or two on basic recording with a computer. If you live near a Guitar Center, they have free classes on the basics of recording with computers - take some. There is information all over the internet - use a search engine and seek it out.
