Altiverb is working perfect over here. Snapper is all buggy though. Keeps quitting.

Could you try LAConvolver ?
( would probably be a lot lower on CPU... )

Re: Altiverb and lion
If Altiverb is running okay, then all my software is Lion compatible. My only other question before taking the plunge is, how is Lion generally speaking? Are there any major issues? My main reason to upgrade is cloud sync for my work.
