I access large .pdf files everyday in my job. The way Chrome handles them including a near instantaneous search feature makes it my default browser. FireFox and Safari can take many minutes to search 800 page .pdf files online while Chrome takes 2 or 3 seconds.
There are a few web sites that don't work in Chrome - they don't work in Safari either. The big one for me is that I can't print a shipping label from PayPal using anything but FireFox (you can create but cannot print it) - the only reason to keep FF, IMO.
Update: Just got this via Software Update: Safari 5.1.1
