Not the case here. K4 libraries open just fine in M5-3. Maybe you need to repair permissions or something?

How are you trying to open it? Is the ufs mounted?

Has anyone had a run of Mach 5 III on a PC? I'm thinking of using it live with a setup that I made largely based around Live 8 Intro and Kontakt Komplete Elements.

The computer is a Intel Core Duo 2 2.66 4 GIG ram 2 hard drives. A Seagate Hybrid XT one for the samples and a 7200 rpm for the operating system.

I can bring the Ram up to 6 or 8 gigs but it is expensive. I would also have to upgrade to Windows 7 from XP.

The way in which I would run it is 8 loaded instruments. MicroKorg controlling 8 sliders for each instrument. If Mach 5 III mute and solo functions work that could save a lot of streaming I think.

Any thoughts?

I'm running it on PC within Bidule64 and until now it worked no problems.

Hi folks,

I'm new to here.

I got MF3 over the weekend and I am loving it. The sound quality is amazing.
I'd love to see some more detailed videos though.

The only tiny irritant, is having to jump through different screens to add FX or arps etc.
It would be cool if the edit screen and FX screen could be opened side by side, maybe they can.

Does anyone know?

Thanks

I think the TREE menu (left side of the screen) might allow faster access. I'll have to check. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks Man :)

Great to be here.

I hadn't tried the tree view, hmmmm.

I loved your granular reworking, I haven't tried that yet.

The main instruments on MF3 are pretty amazing though. I have Kontakt 4 about 6 months but I rarely use it. MF3 will get a lot of use though.

I was wrong (what if!) The TREE doesn't allow selection, just review. Granular and stretch are awesome!

That's a pity, it would be handy to see everything you're working on side by side, but I'm not giving it back :)

Stretch is incredible. We had a vocal track with no backing vocals, so we used stretch to create a new vocal version in a different key. Perfect timing etc.

I'm amazed this thing hasn't taken off massively, I've seen reviews all over the place of Kontakt 5, but very little on this.

The tree allows FX editing though.

Just click the FX node and edit it in the inspector below.
You can add new FX by right clicking a node as well

You can add arp as well but obviously the editing will be very limited :)
