Bundles importing on session Load

Post by Tripi »

I've been importing another composer's DP6 sessions in to my DP7 template, and even though I do not check "BUNDLES"....... they always import anyways. Does anyone else see this happening? I usually open the DP6 session first, and resave as a DP7 session. If I don't do this, it will crash DP7 every time I try to Load a chunk. That's not a big deal, but the bundles thing is getting to be an issue.

Any ideas?

Just to confirm, I have experienced this recently as well.

If I can remember correctly, it was 5.13 files Load-ing into 7.24 sessions.

Could it be an issue with older files being loaded into the latest DP version?

Maybe, but I have been opening and resaving the files as DP7 before loading. It still does the same thing. Might not sound like a big deal, but film composers with a room full of machines have dozens of busses, ins, outs, instruments, and Vienna / Bidule routings that all gum up the works on import.

To further this, I found out that as soon as you click on a chunk to Load it, the bundles go into the new sequence. Even if you hit Cancel immediately without doing anything else they are put into the sequence. Bug...

5 years later, this is still an issue. Is there a way to load a Chunk WITHOUT loading any bundles?
