Well I'll tell you what has MY butt frosted just a bit. I get a notice that there's an updated for Final Cut X, version 10.0.1 and NOW it says my graphics card isn't freakin' supported! AFTER I paid $299 clams and it was okay in the initial release, I'm freakin' orphaned unless I buy another graphics card????
I have a Radeon HD3870 I bought online. Niiiiice!!!
I may have the factory one for my first gen Mac Pro here somewhere, but I'm not sure it can drive my second monitor at full res. I'm REALLY torqued off that Apple could take my $300 for version 10.0.0 of Final Cut, and then LOCK ME THE HELL OUT with version 10.0.1!!!!!!!
P.S. I'll tell you what. I'm usually pretty mellow about stuff, but I feel REALLY SCREWED here. I will call Apple for whatever the hell good it will do and complain. I really should get my money back at this point to be pulled in with a 10.0.0 version and then be essentially cut out of all upgrades since the initial release unless I shell out for a graphics card. Maybe they had no choice, but this is just SO weak I cannot describe it!
I think I stand a good chance of a refund. I called Apple today and they're going to have someone email me about the issue tomorrow apparently. I suspect there was an issue and I should actually not have been allowed to purchase or install it. So I'm just bought Adobe Premier Elements 10 which I'm thinking will do what I need.
