It would be great if our courageous early Mach5 v3 adopters could report back to the 'Nation about their impressions of the software; love / hate the GUI, stability, cpu hit, library quality - especially the new scripted instruments, import issues, etc. I'm sure we're all hoping for a successful and useful product from MOTU / UVI. Thanks in advance.

I guess Mach5 3 is either just boring, or so great no one has time to put it down and post a report. :) ...anyone have anything nice or disparaging to say about it?

I haven't found any issue yet.. than again I haven't really dug into it that deep either. I am in the middle of building a NAS at the moment. If people post things they want to know about I can do some investigating.

Is the readability improved in v3? Options for larger font sizes? I had to give up on V2 because of the tiny fonts, eye strain, old eyes, some of you must know what I mean :)

I know exactly what you mean. I went to an optometrist, showed her the font sizes and monitor distance, and she gave me a lens prescription that lets me use the 27" apple screen at full resolution with no problems. Of course the glasses are pretty much useless for anything else.

Ill check on fonts and options for resizing the fonts when I get back to my house later tonight. I totally understand as I wear glasses already and V2's fonts were too small.

Just installed and played a little. I like everything I've heard and seen. I particularly like that the parameter indicators (pan, volume, et al) show you what the sound is actually doing at that precise moment.

I didn't add the Xtreme FX banks as i already had that for the UVI player. The UVI banks loaded immediately without a hiccup so it is safe to assume I can use M5/3 for all my UVI sounds and forget that player.

Lots to play with here, kids... LOTS! As they used to say on American Bandstand...

So what I would like to hear from you early adopters is how well M53 handles the existing Kontakt library, things like the Scarbee basses and EP's would be particularly nice to know. Is it really solidly emulating Kontakt? Playing the same performance through the same patch hosted in both instruments, do they in fact sound identical?

If so, I'll likely skip K5 and spring for M53

It reads K library up to v3. On v4 NI changed the format and MF3 can't read it. K5? I still don't understand what's the difference apart the "marketing".
