Shift-ctrl-eject...

Post by Kubi »

... sleeps all displays.

So glad I found this! Sometimes I like to listen back in the dark, I find that it really helps focus on tiny details in a mix. (For some reason simply closing my eyes doesn't work the same for me, no idea why.)

Up to now I've always had to set my display sleep time to 1min to get it to turn itself off, but a simple Google search just turned this neat little trick up.

Just thought I'd share.

:D

This hasn't been updated in a while, but as far as I know it is still accurate, at least through 10.6.8. Has been very helpful over the years. PDF, too!

I also might add that opt-f12 brings up the System Sound Preferences, for those who are irritated with the new MOTU drivers.

This one good, too:

Like this one a lot myself. Way better to just get up from the chair and hit that combo. Boom! She's done!
