Hello All,
I have just bought a Microlite. I installed the drivers (downloaded from MOTU), rebooted and connected the Microlite to the PC. Then I connected my M-Audio Oxygen 88 to a MIDI in port and my Ketron Klavi Pro to a MIDI out port.
When i press a key on the Oxygen, i see the MIDI in light flash on the front of the microlite, but none of the MIDI out lights flash ever, and I hear no sound. If i connect the Oxygen and Ketron together, they work fine. I also get the same results when i use my Yamaha MO6 and the Ketron with the Microlite, or the MO6 as MIDI output with the oxygen.
I have Windows 7 ultimate 64 Bit, Intel I7-930, 12Gb DDR3, Asus Gene II mobo. Both mobo and W7 are up to date with all patches and drivers.
I took the Microlite back to the shop and it seems to work ok on a MAC, so it must be my system or my keyboard setup, but i can't see what.
Please does anyone have any ideas that i can try?
Thanks, Andrew.

Re: No MIDI out with Microlite &W7 64Bit
Hello all,
Well, it looks like I have a $175 paperweight, what a complete waste of time and money! At least it looks nice even if it has no function (a bit like me really).
I tried other USB ports, other cables (USB and MIDI) and other MIDI ports on the unit, but no luck.
Hopefully I can try to sell it, but to be honest, it will be difficult when I have to tell them why I want to get rid of it. I am still stuck without a MIDI solution and now I don't have enough money to try again.
Thanks to anyone who read this.
My advice... try before you buy, and consider something other than MOTU.
Regards to all of you (nice forum btw, some good stuff here)

Re: No MIDI out with Microlite &W7 64Bit
More on the saga.
I was under the incorrect impression that the Microlite would function without PC software, or at least without sequencing software. This was my mistake. My apologies to Motu, and others.
I don't have any sequenceing software, as my playing is live. I use NI Kontakt and the NI Classic Piano collection (very nice btw).
Using Kontakt I can get MIDI into my PC but can't get any MIDI out except when I click a note on the on-screen keyboard. I can see all the Microlite ports and have enabled them all.
Using MIDI-OX I can manually route the MIDI in to the MIDI out on the Microlite and it does what I want, so I sustpect that, if I keep the Micrlolite, I will end up using MIDI-OX to achieve my ends.
Thanks to anyone who read this, and pondered upon it.

Try the new drivers from Motu
