Traveler mk3 + new laptop with usb 3 = trouble for me
So I had an old laptop with a fire wire and had never had an issue with my Traveler mk3... Well, my old laptop died. I had to get another laptop and as I browsed my local, Best Buy, Fry's electronics, Staples, PC Warehouse, and Office Max stores I realized that could not find a single PC Laptop with either Firewire or Express-card. I ended up getting a model that has USB 3…. Called MOTU Customer support and they said that I might be able to get an adaptor for it but that they have not tested any and therefore, they could not suggest one. I am SURE that this is not an uncommon issue now for TRAVELER owners who, well, travel with their "Traveler". I would truly appreciate any feedback on this issue….Cheers…

Hi, am having similar issue and would also have thought this is a common problem but am struggling to find information. Have you come up with a solution? Thanks.

I had similar issues with a MOTU Ultralite; would not work on USB3. I uninstalled the USB3 drivers from my win7 system. On reboot win7 calls up generic USB2 drivers instead. Everything seems to work as a normal USB2 setup. No problems after 3 months.
When I need USB3 transfer speed I temporarily reinstall the USB3 driver.
