For more years than I care to dwell upon, my wife and I have been working on "Iron & Gold," a historical musical about railroads, robber barons and labor in 19th Century America. Act 1 (of 2) is finally complete and online at:
millionmonkeys.us
Act 1 is the first 11 songs on the music player. The catchiest song is probably the eleventh, "Song for the Knights of Labor," which actually comes from Act 2; the most elaborate piece is definitely the finale (track #10), the second part of which is sort of a rondo-fugue.
The orchestral tracks were begun in Sibelius before being heavily tweaked and mixed in DP 6.03. The virtual instruments are various Vienna Symphonic Library modules plus the Front Porch Banjo.
I can't tell you much about the vocal recording, which was done on a different system.
Any feedback appreciated, and thanks for listening!
