I am using a traveler with a dual 2.7 / tiger/ DP 4.6 and have so far found no compatibilty issues. This said , I am on my fourth Traveler in six weeks due to various clock and spdif issues (I won't bore you with them, they can be found on the forum under Motu hardware). Please don't be put off by that - I guess I have just been unlucky.

the reason I picked the traveler over other audio interfaces is that i've just sold my hardware mixers and wanted everything controlled from the mac and the traveler offers a lot of connectivity for the money and along with Cuemix software completely negates the need for an external mixer

The sound quality beats my old Yamaha 01v mixers i used to own , although I can't comment on the mic preamps as I haven't used them (I use a SPL Channel one for preamp duties)

I don't think you will regret going for a Traveler

A Friend of mine bought a Traveler and I've sent him sessions I've done on DP4.6/2408mk3
Hes opened them on DP4.5/Travler and so far hes had not problems with it.

Thanks pretty much my setup. No compatability issues and the system seems solid. The PREs on the Traveler seem pretty flat to me (though I'm not the most experienced judge). Overall, I'm pretty happy with the setup.
