Yes, there is this golden opportunity for some companies to get off the dime and upgrade their applications to run on the Intel chip. That is if the market hasn't already left them behind and in the dust.FutureLegends wrote:Finally!mikehalloran wrote:Rosetta is supposed to go away so PPC apps will no longer run.
Now maybe Synchro Arts will make an Intel version of VocAlign for example! Something they admitted not intending to do unless the old one stopped working...

Yes, I guess for some applications things like Logic's Flexitime and PT's elastic pudding might be all that's needed.
I've been wanting to get VocAlign for a while but since it's not intel it hasn't felt like a good investment, not knowing if it will ever be etc...

A little late to this thread, but if it's anything like the iPhone - click and hold on the image should bring up the "save image" dialogue, which saves the image to the camera roll.Shooshie wrote:I'm still trying to figure out how to save a photo from Safari in my iPad.

Lol, I just love that you actually made a chart for this. I couldn't agree more about Preview. It has been such a useful little program, and Snow Leopard has really mucked it up - ex. both 'zoom to fit' and the 'command tilde' key command no longer work correctly. Too bad JPEGView was discontinued.
Fwiw, the Finder rules. It is more robust than many people give it credit for. I love that I can use exposè to show my desktop, then select a file (click n hold), and then command tab to another open app and drop that file in there. As Mr. Jobs would say, it just works.
If anyone is interested here is a nifty list of Lion's unsung features: http://gizmodo.com/5809100/the-best-of- ... -os-x-lion" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Hum drum, bum drum, OS X Lion...
Just a couple of added observations about Lion -
If you are still on Leopard, now is the time to upgrade to Snow Leopard, in order to then make the move to Lion.
And...wait awhile to upgrade to Lion. There is no guarantee that all your
audio and video apps, or all your plug-ins and VI's, will be Lion-ready
when Lion is released. Given how long it took some companies to move their
products to SL, I'd say waiting three to five months to make your Lion move is a safe bet.
