Hello!
First of all, sorry for my poor english. I'm from Portugal.
I'm new in Motunation, and I have a big problem:
I bought a brand new core system with PCIe-424 card, and a 2408mk3, to record some audio.
Here's what i've done:
I've installed the most recent drivers that are in Motu's download section, for Windows 32 bit (my system);
I've shutdown my PC, installed the PCIe-424 card in the PCIe slot;
I've turned on my PC, and now on the problems appear. It was supposed to Windows start driver instalation, like it says on manual, but my PC does nothing. It seems to not install any driver. If I go to my Device Manager, it appears, under Sound, video and game controllers, the "Motu PCI Audio Driver", but it has a small yellow note in the icon. If I choose Properties, it says that the "Device can not be started (code 10)";
If I try to open Motu PCI Audio Console, it appears an error saying: "An error has accurred in the Audiowire driver: The Audiodriver was not found (18)"
If I try to open my music software (Adobe Audition), it says: "No Motu Audiowire card was found. Make sure the card is seated properly and the driver has been installed correctly", and then closes up.
If I try to connect the 2408mk3, it does not recognize the expansion module, and its lights works as if it is in stand alone operation.
More things i've done:
- install 2408 mk3 in a different Audiowire port;
- tried all this with internet most recent drivers, and with CD drivers that came with the equipment
- install drivers as administrator;
I don't know what to do more. I've sent an email to Motu's support, and I wait a response, but here maybe i can find someone with similar problem...
My PC system is brand new, and made just for music edition. It is a Intel based system, with a QuadCore Q9400, motherboard Asrock G41M-S, 4 GB RAM, ATI H4350 video chip and 2 hard drives.
I think i've made everything "by the book", but now, i don't know... Plase don't suggest MAC, because now it is not possible...
Thank you very much for your help!

Re: Windows Vista 32 bit does not recognize properly PCIe-42
Hello Genius,
I know that this is one hell of a old topic, but I got stuck in the same situation. Did you figure out, how to solve this?
Thanks!

Re: Windows Vista 32 bit does not recognize properly PCIe-42
I have the same problem intermittently. For whatever reason, I find that if I power on my MOTU rack units first, then the PC, I often get exactly the same problem.
I find that if I turn on the rack units (2408 Mk3 & 24I/O) after the PC has fully booted, they are much more likely to work. Otherwise I get the "An error has accurred in the Audiowire driver: The Audiodriver was not found" error like you do.
