need some help with search function

Post by maresz »

Hi,
I am getting lost in the search window...
I need to select in a bunch of rhythmically uneven notes (with variable silences in between) every "n" occurrence. I did not succeed yet.
thanks for helping !

I haven't used the search function that much, but one thing is certain, if you spelled the word(s) wrong it wouldn't work correctly.

ie: fonction :D

Can you select the notes by range? I mean, if they are selectable by range, DP will do it. You may also select by rhythmic range--example: from bar 3/2/240--3/2/320. That pattern may be repeatable. I cannot really help, because with each search you have to be creative with the tools you have in order to accommodate the particular need. All I can say is that when I have needed the Search, it has always worked for me, though it may have taken me a good five or ten minutes to figure it out.

Thanks,
I tried everything but I just can't figure it out...
the problem is that in this case there is no pattern to look for. it's just every 3 notes for example, but the notes are at very different positions every time.
