Why doesn't someone ask Eric Persing or Glenn Olander at Spectrasonics about this? Seems like this would be a chance to get word from the horse's mouth. It would lay to rest a LOT of speculation. I'm betting they'll say that their plugins just default to 32 bits in DP, but if they run their content in an outside space that can use 64 bits without bothering DP, that would be excellent information to be aware of during this transitional phase.

Excellent idea, I'll write Eric tomorrow!

Omnisphere is a great example for this query because it doesn't work stand-alone, has to have a host, and I only see one version of it in my components (AU) folder.

Omnisphere, Trilian, and Stylus RMX, like almost all 64-bit capable plugins, are both 32 and 64 bit. The 32 bit and 64 bit versions are combined into a single component when you view them in the Finder. A 32 bit host like DP will use the 32 bit version and a 64 bit host like Logic, Cubase, VEPro, or Studio One will use the 64 bit version.
