Importing Rex files crashes DP

Post by trevorallan »

Hi,
I've been having problems with DrumCore in DP and the Submersible people haven't been able to help. It turns out to be importing REX loops in general that's the problem, not just DrumCore.

Importing loops into DP's Sequence edit window in the recommended REX format from the DrumCore plug in gives me an (I/O -36) error message, and sometimes crashes DP. I can drag REX files from the MACH5 plug in window with no problem, but when dragged from the desktop the same files have the same effect as the DrumCore files.

It's only the REX format. If I import the Drumcore files as Wav or AIFF files they don't cause any problem. It would be nice to have the sliced versions though.

Anyone had similar problems or have any suggestions how to rectify this?

Many Thanks

REX import in 7.22 appears to be an issue for a lot of people. They work as expected in 7.21, so some folks are using that for REX work, and hoping for a fix in the next update.
