DSP-Quattro and DP?

Post by adriano »

Hello forum.
Anyone using DSP Quattro?
I have some VST plugins that can output to MIDI and was wondering if, I was to load the VST plug into DSP-4, if I will be able to output to MIDI into a MIDI track in DP. In other words I would use it is a VST host.

I tried Rax 3.0 from Audiofile Engineering, but does not support MIDI out.

Thank you,
Adriano

Despite the fact that DSP Quattro can run VST plug-ins, you will
not be able to instantiate DSP Quattro in DP and then load VST
plugs or VI's into it. Sorry...only MAS or AU will run inside
DP.

I haven't tried this specifically with DSP, but any application that uses CoreMIDI should be able to access Inter-application MIDI (part of OSX). If you invoke IAC in AudioMIDI Setup, both DSP and DP should see it as a MIDI device and be able to use it as an input or as an output. Might help to Google an IAC tutorial to see how it is done.

I use Audio Ease VST-Wrapper and it works fine inside DP.

Ciao Cridarco,

Ciao Elio, come stai?
