Mike,
audiomidi has just dropped it to $79 and I think there's an extra $5 off for downloads, bring it down to $74!

I don't think this can be downloaded, though. It appears like they will send another box. If someone knows how to purchase a downloadable version for $74, please explain how!

yeah, it seems to be screwed up, don't know why.... I'd ring them (audioMidi) at 866-283-4601 and try and place the order that way. BTW, you're only buying a valid serial number from them. After you received it from them, you do all the rest (download) directly from IK Multimedia.

By the way, I thought that the Philharmonik full version would be shipped in a box. No; it's download only. I only figured that out after waiting a week for it. I thought that, because I never got any serial number or instructions on where/how to download. Turns out that I did, but it came a few days later, and got caught in my spam filter. When I found it, I was able to download everything just fine, though there were many Gigabytes of data.

I was in the process of buying this upgrade last night when I noticed the $5 download-only discount doesn't apply to this offer, but sales tax does. :-)

So I hesitated, as even a $15 differential from my expected price gives me pause since I would be "re-buying" this product. I wish I had a better memory of how well the wind controller patches were done.

But I have a feeling this isn't the last act, and that the product itself will be revved in some way soon. I could be wrong, but IK have NOT been resting on their laurels.

My own decision should not affect anyone else, as this is still a great deal for a first-time buyer. :-) Maybe if I can find time to use it in a session before the deadline on the upgrade expires, I'll be confident enough I would use it to justify the extra $90.

I tried to place the order...even though I know I'd end up downloading it from IK, upon checkout I wasn't given any download option, only no choice but to add $40-50 cost to the item for international shipping. Bummer!

So to those US residents...I can put an LA address as shipping address as my brother lives there...but it definitely is downloadable, right? Do I choose 'pick up at Los Angeles office' as shipping method?

bdr, I'm working from memory here, so don't take me too "literally", but I've obtained 4 items - Philharmonik, *Philharmonik CE, Amplitube 3.5 & SampleTank Free - from IK recently (*one of which started as an audioMidi purchase) and all 4 of them were downloads. The sequence of events, as best I can recall was something like this:
1. set up a "User Area" on IK's website,
2. download their "Authorization" app,
3. purchase a product from them (or audioMidi)
4. receive a Serial Number from them (or audioMidi)
5. open #2 and fill in the Serial Number, when you do, you're going to get an email from IK with LOADZ of numbers...your Serial Number, your Digital ID and your Authorization Code,
6. go back in to your User Area to Downloads and download the App you've purchased,
7. go to the "Sounds" area of your User Area and download the Sounds for your app,
8. install your app (you'll need those numbers from #5) and install your sounds.

for me, that was the way it worked, I think. I actually don't even recall a shipping option, just the download process.
good luck with it, perhaps an email or a call to IK?

thanks for your detailed reply Willie, I'll give it a go. Worse outcome, I'll have to send my brother in the Valley to pick it up.

AudioMidi still honoring this upgrade offer. To get it to take, I logged into my account first, then clicked on the link in the email.
http://www.audiomidi.com/Miroslav-Philh ... 806C0.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"

I just placed the order a few minutes ago. It ships in the box only - there is no download only option. I confirmed that on the phone after I placed my order - the guy at AM said that IK was being very strict with this upgrade.

They have a Fathers' Day discount that is good for another $8 off of the $79.99 for a total of $71.99 + sales tax (I live in CA) I picked the free shipping option.

From the email dated 6/17/2011:

We're celebrating Father's Day this year by taking an extra 10% off the entire store!

Just enter "dad0611" in the coupon code box at checkout and you'll get the discount. Go shopping HERE.
