Error Message: MOTUFirewireDriver.kext installed improperly

Post by skyboy »

Help! I'm having trouble with Cue Mix Console for my 896HD. At the beginning of the day today the Cue Mix Console wouldn't open. I downloaded drivers from the MOTU site, but during install I get this error message: The system extensions "System/Library/MOTUFirewireAudioDriver.kext was installed improperly and must be reinstalled. I've tried reinstalling drivers several times, reinstalled DP from the install disc, repaired permissions and repaired disc (no problems found)

I have also gotten the same error message regarding the MIDI Driver.kext.

I'm using the 896 with an HD 192 and they are both available in the Configure Hardware Driver dialog. The MOTU PCI Console opens and functions properly.

Big session tomorrow morning....anyone???

Thanks,
Chris
