More dumb 2408mk3 questions....

Still kicking around getting a 2408mk3 to replace my no-longer-supported Soundscape/SSL Mixtreme192 card.

I've done a search of the forum; and the most common problem with connecting the 2408mk3 to the Tascam DM-24 seems to be occasional glitching in the playback audio. The most commonly suggested solution is to verify correct word clock configuration. But further reading seems to suggest that this does not always solve the problem.

Are there any other known issues with this setup? Is it a Windows thing or a Tascam vs. MOTU thing?

Does anyone out there have this setup without any problems?


One of the reasons why I'm looking to replace the Mixtreme is because the card supposedly does not support system RAM above 2GB. Are they any memory limitation issues with the 2408mk3?

I really want to keep the DM-24, because.....well, I just like the darn thing! But I also want to be able to get the full use of it. Hopefully, MOTU can help.
