Networked MTP AV's not recognized in DAW or XP

I've been struggeling for the past few weeks trying to Network an MTP AV with an MTP AV USB via serial cable. With the help of many good folks on this site, I was able to sort out a few issues and I finally have the 2 units networked together. Clockworks now recognizes all 16 inputs and outputs and I am able to send MIDI messages and MIDI clock to and from both units.

The problem I have now is that my DAW(Ableton)does not recognize the networked MTP AV, nor does XP SP2. I am only able to see the 8 I/O's from my USB version instead of 16 i/o's

From what I have read, their are a few limitations when using 2 MTP's networked together in XP.(MIDI lag, SYS messages are not reliable etc.) Is this another limitation or have others been able to get XP and DAW to recognize 16 I/O's from the networked MTP's?
