Quick Quicktime question

Post by Phil O »

I have Quicktime Pro (7.6.6) and the new Quicktime (10.0). Do they both use the same components? If not, can you choose which version DP uses?

I personally believe that QT Pro 7 has a better interface. More control and info. I've used QT10 on my wife's Mac and was feeling a bit alienated. Almost as if the app was conspiring against me... LOL! Oh wait, that was from another thread....

Seriously, I prefer QT 7 and you can have them both if you wish.

QT 10 has a minimal subset of the exporting options of QT 7 Pro. To make videos always open with QT 7, select a video, hit cmd-I then under 'open with' choose QT 7 then 'change all'.
