quicktime not loading in DP7(latestversion)on osx 10.6.3 on a MAc pro quad
What am I missing? I noticed there is a QT.10.xx in my applications and a QT 7pro in my utilities folder.
But nothing will load into DPT-get an error message. AM I missing an update of some sorts? Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: help w/dp7 and quicktime
Could be the video itself. Have you tried different ones? Just a thought.

thanks for responding...
yes, I have tried loading in a QT that I know worked on my previous system.

Re: help w/dp7 and quicktime
Then my other suggestion is simply to upgrade your system. 10.6.3 is a little old at this point, and may have some issues with DP7. Try upgrading to 10.6.7 (the latest release of OS X). I run 10.6.6 with DP7 and have no issues with video. There have been many graphics updates in OS X versions 10.6.4-10.6.7, so it's possible that there is an issue with 10.6.3 that wasn't addressed in the latest version of DP7.
You can also try a few other things that may not work but are good to do anyways - upgrade your versions of Quicktime, and install a program named "Perian", which adds support for a lot of extra file types in Quicktime.
What is the error message, exactly, that you get when you try to load a video? That information could help me troubleshoot your problem a little better if you're not willing to upgrade your version of OS X or install Perian.

Re: help w/dp7 and quicktime
That's It! I had just purchased OSX Snow leopard at the MAc Store and assumed it was the latest version. QT'S load fine now.
Thanks so much for taking the time to help. Huge....
