I'm quite excited to be a functioning member of this community. Have spent the last couple months in the acquisition phase. I'm now partway through the build/setup phase.

Here are some photo updates.

Not that any of this means anything, but I just had to share with somebody.

Wow-- I was wondering what "almost there" meant. Look at those sexy acoustical panels!! If there's anything I enjoy more than acoustical panels it's going to Home Depot!!!

Ah, the smell of lumber. :P

Looking good, marko!

Tell us more about those panels. Are they DIY or did you purchase them pre-built? I'm with Mr. Frodo on Home Depot, but let's not ignore the electrical and plumbing departments. Lots of goodies there too. I'm planning on making some gobo stands out of PVC pipe. PVC is your friend.

That's awesome! We all seek an environment that enables our utmost creativity. It fascinates me how different they can be.

Those panels did make me go "ooh".

So... did you buy a bunch of single-bed mattresses and sew sheets to 'em or what?

I love the desk too, Marko. Good stuff. Enjoy!

Acoustic panels were DIY. 1"x2" frames with fabric backing, heavier fabric, and 2 2'x4' panels of Auralex acoustic insulation. So each panel has 4" of acoustic insulation. There are also a couple of cylindrical bass traps in each corner. So far, I'm pleased with the results. Very anxious to actually mix in the space.
