Glad to hear it works. I had ordered one this morning. Now I can breathe easier. I have tried other things, but sent them all back. This looks like the one I want.

Just wondering from you guys that already have one of those keypads....... does the enter key actually work as an enter key? Most keypads make it work as a Return key, which gives DP a tuff time doing certain tasks.

Um, which "this thing"?

I tried sorting backwards through the postings last night, and clicked on a few links, but was unable to disambiguate WHICH magical device is the one on order from our illustrious Shooshie. :-)

That link should take you there. It's a keypad. Looks like the Apple Wireless Keyboard, and has a little clip that actually joins them together (if desired). Otherwise, it is an independent unit that could be used for a remote control for DP transport… if the Enter key is actually an Enter key. We'll see. Should be here early next week.

I've been using this LMP Bluetooth Keypad WKP-1314 for all of 24 hours now, and there are no major drawbacks to report. It works as advertised.

The Enter Key is a true Mac Enter Key, not a Return clone.

The clip that joins the Apple Wireless Keyboard and the new Keypad together looks flimsy, but it seems to hold pretty tightly. I don't anticipate any problems from it as long as I don't use the combo as a hammer.

One drawback for which there can probably be no remedy (limited by circumstance) is that you cannot use modifier keys (COMMAND-OPTION-CONTROL-SHIFT) with the keypad. They are separate keyboards, and the keys from one cannot modify the keys from the other. Since I have a lot of commands that require this combination, I've short-cutted it with QuicKeys, using "Sticky Keys" for action triggers. Not as simple as, say, COMMAND-ENTER, but it's workable.

Setup was not as intuitive as I expected. The manual revealed why: the button for getting a Bluetooth response is on the bottom of the keypad, recessed and out of sight. The button for turning the keypad on is a small one on the right. The BIG button that is similar to the Apple Keyboard's button, is actually a mechanical connection to the Apple Keyboard's button when they are clipped together. It doesn't turn on the keypad. The little button turns on the keypad.

Once you're clear on those little details, you're good to go. I'd still rather have a full-sized Apple Wireless Keyboard, but until Steve or his successor gets his head on straight and delivers us the real deal, this will be a suitable work-around. It really does work exactly as advertised. No surprises. (at least, none at 24 hours of use)

Shoosh, am I understanding correctly? Are you saying that modifier keys along with number keys from the keypad are actually independent and unique from modifier keys and regular number keys in the qwerty keyboard?

If so, all I can say is: Wow! I didn't know that. Does that mean I can assign different shortcuts for say, ⌘1 and ⌘1 from the qwerty and numeric keypad respectively?

I just wanted to report that after sending back the LMP Keypad--which I'm glad is working for others, I must have had a bad one--I bought the old Apple Bluetooth Keyboard, the one with the keypad. I got it from Powermax.

No retail box, but it was in the unopened plastic envelope. Anyway, it works perfectly.
